چکیده

It has been realized that the computational complexity of model-based diagnosis makes the mechanism impractical for real-world diagnosis tasks. One way to overcome this disadvantage is to focus the diagnosis on a reduced diagnostic space. we have proposed an improved critical diagnosis reasoning method 6] based on the method IMPLODE 5] proposed by Raiman, de Kleer and Saraswat. The improved method focuses the diagnosis on nding out the kernel diagnoses instead of the whole diagnoses. In this paper, we present a diagnostic reasoning model called DRMCA to implement the improved critical reasoning. The architecture, knowledge representation and algorithms of DRMCA are described in the paper. A non-backtracking algorithm is used to nd out the diagnoses instead of the backtracking algorithm in IMPLODE. The eeciency of DRMCA is improved because of the reduced diagnosis space and the non-backtracking algorithm. The comparisons between DRMCA and IMPLODE are also given to show the improvements of DRMCA.

Determination of Criticality Indexes in the Remanufacturing Process: A GERT-based Simulation Approach

In this paper one of the important “end of life options” (remanufacturing) has been analysed. Among the related studies surveyed the various remanufacturing aspects, less attention has been paid to the stochastic process routing. In this regard, a remanufacturing process routing with stochastic activities is modelled as a GERT network. One of the efficient ways to analyse a remanufacturing proc...

Developing an economical model for reliability allocation of an electro-optical system by considering reliability improvement difficulty, criticality, and subsystems dependency

The nature of electro-optical equipment in various industries and the pursuit of the goal of reducing costs demand high reliability on the part of electro-optical systems. In this respect, reliability improvement could be addressed through a reliability allocation problem. Subsystem reliability must be increased such that the requirements as well as defined requisite functions are ensured in ac...

Models of clinical reasoning with a focus on general practice: a critical review

Introduction: Diagnosis lies at the heart of general practice.Every day general practitioners (GPs) visit patients with awide variety of complaints and concerns, with often minor butsometimes serious symptoms. General practice has many featureswhich differentiate it from specialty care setting, but during thelast four decades little attention was paid to clinical reasoningin general practice. T...
